Did you know you can make fried rice in the air fryer? My Air Fryer Fried Rice recipe takes something already simple and makes it even easier. You get golden, slightly crispy rice, tender veggies, and the best flavor with hardly any effort.
The “I Don’t Feel Like Cooking” Hero
It’s Almost Too Easy! You just toss it in the air fryer, give it a stir or two, and you’re done. This is the kind of dinner that saves you on busy nights.
Hands Off Cooking: Once it’s in, you can help with homework, clean up, or just sit down for a minute while it cooks.
Perfect for Leftovers: This is my favorite way to use up day-old rice and whatever veggies are hanging out in the fridge.
Air Fryer Fried Rice Ingredients
Rice: Use leftover cold rice to prevent the rice from getting mushy; long-grain rice works best.
This dish was such a fun one to make in the air fryer, and now I can’t stop doing it this way. I love serving it with some Egg Rolls and Teriyaki Chicken for an easy, takeout-style dinner at home.
Prep: Line the air fryer basket, then add cooked white rice, sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, frozen veggies, and diced onion.
Cook: Toss everything together in the rice mixture until evenly combined, then spread into an even layer and air-fry at 400°F for 6 minutes.
Add Eggs: Remove the air fryer basket, stir, then make a well for the eggs. Whisk 2 eggs in a small bowl, then pour into the well, then air fry for an additional 4-5 minutes.
Stir, Cook, and Serve: Once the whites have set, then break the eggs into the rice and stir to combine, then cook for an additional 1-2 minutes. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve.
Must Have Tools For This Recipe
Air Fryer Liner: Use an air fryer liner to keep the rice contained and make cleanup easy.
6 Quart Air Fryer: Use a big enough air fryer that you don’t overcrowd the Basket.6-quart air fryer.
Line the basket of an air fryer and add 2 cups cooked white rice, 2 tablespoons sesame oil, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 cup frozen peas and carrots, and ½ cup diced white onion.
Toss everything together until evenly combined. Spread the rice into an even layer and Air Fry at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 6 minutes.
Pull out the air fryer basket, stir, and then make a well for the eggs. Whisk 2 eggs in a small bowl, then pour into the well. Air Fry for an additional 4-5 minutes.
Once the whites have set, break the eggs into the rice and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve.

Honey Lime Chicken Thighs Ingredients
Add some spice! Add diced jalapenos or ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper.
Lime Juice: I prefer fresh lime juice for the best flavor, but you can use bottled if you’d like!
Lime Zest: Adding 1-2 teaspoons of fresh lime zest will really punch up the lime flavor of the marinade.
If using chicken breasts: Pound the chicken until it is an even thickness, or butterflying the breasts in two for more even cooking.
For bone-in chicken thighs: Sear skin-side down for 4-5 minutes, then flip and grill over medium heat for 10-15 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Grilled Honey Lime Cilantro Chicken Recipe
This grilled honey lime cilantro chicken recipe is one of those easy dinners that feels a little special. I love serving it with cilantro lime rice, grilled corn, and some simple guacamole.
Make Marinade: Combine lime juice, honey, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, cilantro, salt, and black pepper in a large ziplock bag or large bowl. Reserve ¼ cup of the marinade if you want sauce for your chicken after it has cooked. *Never use marinade that raw chicken has been in.
Marinate: Add skinless chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring all of the chicken is coated, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or overnight.
Grill: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grill the chicken on each side for about 3-4 minutes, until it reaches an internal temperature of 155°F and is no longer pink. Tent with foil and let the chicken rest for 10-15 minutes before serving.
