Let’s chat costs. Grocery prices are no joke right now, so I wanted to put together something that actually helps stretch your dollar. Rotisserie chicken is one of my favorite budget tricks. It is already cooked, full of flavor, and usually way cheaper than buying and cooking chicken yourself.
I have rounded up 9 recipes that you can make using a rotieeserie chicken (I got mine at Costco for only $4.99!). Because the chicken is cooked and ready to be shredded which not only saves you money but time!
Why Rotisserie Chicken Is the Best Shortcut
Rotisserie chicken gives you a built-in head start on dinner. It is juicy, already seasoned, and you can shred it in minutes. Then just choose a recipe, toss everything together, and dinner is basically done. These recipes are delicious (how can you go wrong with chicken casserole) and perfect for nights when you do not want to think about what is for dinner.
Can’t Find a Rotisserie Chicken?
If rotisserie chicken sells out or you cannot get to the store, canned chicken works in almost all of these recipes. Just drain it well and fluff with a fork so it shreds like rotisserie. It is a great pantry backup for busy nights!
You can also cook a chicken yourself in the air fryer! Check out my tips on how to do that HERE.
